The Big Bang Theory - Monday's on CBS 8pm Eastern

I knew when this show first came on I would love it.  I don't know why but I knew.  I told my husband he had to watch it.  He hemmed and hawed and then reluctantly agreed to watch it with me.  And of course... when it comes to this stuff I'm always right.  We did both love it.

The show revolves around four geeks in various stages of geekdom (to me anyway).  You have Sheldon the super-genius geek.  I think in one episode it was said that he was chromosome off from being a different species.  Of this I have no doubt.  Then there is Leonard, who is a genius and a geek in his own right, however, he reminds me of all the other geeks I've ever met that are also on a cool level (yeah I married one!).  Raj, is from India and can't talk to women unless he is drunk.  And then there is Howard, who is a sleazy geek.  Across the hall is Penny, who isn't quite the dumb blond.  She's pretty, she's blond, but she's the normal human smart (with a bit of blond thrown in sometimes.)

The show is hysterically funny and because I married a PhD and most of his friends are PhDs (mostly in computer science), I actually understand most of the humor.  Though it really is just basic geek humor that most people can understand.

(oh by the way, since I just watched this show, I didn't look anything up on IMDB)
