Egads! Mel Gibson's wife files for divorce after 28 years!

I love Mel Gibson.  I do.  I was really shocked to read that his wife has filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences".  I'm really curious to see what kind of dirt comes out as a result of this.

I have to say, that just because the guy was drunk and said some terrible things, doesnt mean he is a terrible person, 28 years is a long time, not to mention what he had to go thru as a child, after the accident that left himi having to have majorr surgeries, actors and actresses, take up too much of peoples minds, they are people who make mistakes just like you and me,, lest not judge lest ye be judged, I pray that it doesnt get all blown out of proportion and we can use all this energy on helping our neighbors, forget about the celebs and the tabloids, still a good posting tab!!!!! dropped a ten for you

I liked him as an actor, but not sure about his personal life. He's got five or six kids doesn't he?

From what I hear he has a severe drinking problem, and when he's drunk or intoxicated he tends to say things that can be considered far from appropriate.

I just saw this on mylot. I guess she got tired of being told she wasn't going to Heaven. He has gotten weird in his later years, perhaps she just got tired of it. I can't believe they have a ten year old.

I have always loved his movies. But he has had some serious problems. Robin, as been their with him through thick and thin. She deserves a medal. I guess his latest escapade was the last straw.
