Daily Whine & Shine - Monday, April 13, 2009
by Marilyn Mackenzie
Whether you agree with the concept or not, everyone needs to be able to vent from time to time. That's especially true if you're one of the many who suffere from an invisible illness. We have whines and rants about pains, medical professionals and prescriptions, just to name a few. Perhaps our families listen; perhaps they don't. Even if they do, they get tired of our complaining, even if they claim to understand our struggles. Or if they don't get tired of our "negative energy" we think they do or will.
Do you need to rant about something? Tell us about it.
Do you have somie celebration or victory you need to share? This is the place.
What's happening in your world today? Are you grumpy about somiething? Or so angry you could spit? Tell it here. Here at the Daily Whine & Shine, it's acceptable to rant, vent, complain, stomp your feet, throw a tantrum, and shout, "Oh shuckie darn!"
Wait! Don't go away! Do you have some good news to share? Great. This is the place for that as well. If you're celebrating, dancing, and yelling, "Yippee Skippy!" please share. Sometimes knowing about someone else's happiness gives us a bit of hope
for ourselves.
Whether you're shouting, "Oh shuckie darn!" or yelling, "Yippee skippy!" - this is the place to be. Pulll up a rocking chair, and let's talk about it.
Now, let's celebrate!!!

Those who would give up essential liberty
to purchase a little temporary safety
deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I think it should be every month! LOl
Happy Birthday!
I still think you need to find a local advocate who can help figure out your situation - how to get control of your own money, how to finish school, even whether or not you'd be better off living somewhere else or some other way.
You have potential that has been lost, but you're not too old to change things.
Darn I missed the fact that it is "Uh-huh month." Oh well, better late then never. Uh-huh!
Whine - my left leg hurts - I fell completely on my left leg on a concrete sidewalk walking out of a restaurant on Saturday on my way to a wedding. I did not make it to the wedding - I had to go to the hospital because my ankle started to swell and we decided to get it checked out. It is a blessing that I did not break anything; my ankle and knee were only sprained, but I scraped up my leg pretty good. I had to be put on antibiotics because I am still on steroids because of my anemia. Thank goodness they also put me on pain meds as well.
I am still awaiting a definitive diagnosis of what is causing my anemia. The two docs are collaborating at this point and are slowing tapering me off of steroids completely so they can run MORE tests to help make that diagnosis. But, hey, at least they have some ideas.
On a positive note, I am still here kicking and screaming and my husband still loves me.
God Bless
Thanks for the information.
