Our Easter Eggs

Last night, we dyed eggs. I had bought 2 small specialized kits (one was marbleizing, the other was a golden egg kit), then I found two regular dip-dye kits in with the Easter items, so we used those as well.

Cute pics! and eggs!

We did ours this morning right after mass. The girls put them out for all our guests to take home and I don't think we have more than half a dozen left, thankfully.
That was a good idea! We used 6 for deviled eggs. Now we have 2 1/2 dozen left. The kids and Nick ate several last night, and some this morning, too, but lord- we're going to be making deviled eggs and egg salad sandwiches this week, I think. ;)

Those came out looking good!

I plan on using some of ours for egg salad sandwiches too. I love egg salad on toasted wheat with some tomatoes.
The vibrant ones were from the marbleizing paint that we used- it was paint, instead of dye, so it came out nice. :) The REALLY purple one in the last photo was dyed green first, then I used gold paint, but it didn't come out. It was the last egg, so I just started rolling it in the pinkish gold, and the blue gold paint, then added purple paint, and just kept adding layers ;)

We did 4.5 Dozen eggs! LOL.. I don't think anyone's going to want deviled eggs and egg salad for a long time after this week

Too cute - I like watching kids color eggs - they are so methodical sometimes!
The green ended one has a plastic wrap around it of bows, yep :) That one was actually one I did ;)

I'm not good with crafts so decorating Easter eggs is the one thing we enjoyed each year. I know you had lots of fun doing this.
