I'll try to post some videos later, but so far I've been video-challenged on Gather! LOL Maybe I need to find a tutorial on it!
Anyway, my daughters were both involved in the Resurrection service today at church. My youngest (not quite 5) sang "I Love You, Lord" with her class. One of the lines is "Take joy, my King" and every time it came around to the word "joy" she did her smile that is, as she calls it, her job! She says her job is to spread joy so she gives everyone her great big smile! It was beautiful.
My oldest (not quite 8) also had a song with her class called "In Christ Alone." Before their song, however, she was selected to read a scripture. All the other kids asked to read were teenagers. But, she read hers more clearly and smoothly than anyone else! No stage fright with her! Her reading level is amazing, but to hear her do that without even a quiver in her voice about speaking in front of a church of about 250 people was amazing! I was never like that as a kid!!! The song they did also turned out beautifully.
So, yes, once again my kids got a chance to say, "Yes, that's my mom - the one over there crying!" All tears of joy. I'm so proud and blessed to have beautiful, talented, amazing children who love the Lord!
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful Resurrection Sunday.
Praise the Lord! Jesus is risen!
