My Easter Tulip

Friday when we went shopping for Easter, I bought myself a pretty bright pink tulip. I'll plant it in the yard in the fall, along with some other tulip bulbs and daffodil bulbs.

I brought it home, set it in the window, put groceries away, and came back to having 2 of the flowers chewed on by the cats. I looked it up- the bulbs are toxic to cats, the stems much less so, the leaves even less so, and the petals even less than that.

I watched the cats closely (after tucking my tulip away from where they could get it), and they didn't get sick. I'll have it on the table for dinner tonight, then it's banished back to our laundry room (only room they don't have access to, which also has a window).

It is very pretty. I don't have much luck with growing tulips outside. I think the rabbits eat them. The ones I do have that come up come up real tiny. So if you can grow tulips, my hat is off to you. I will enjoy your pictures.
I've never tried before Carol, so I'm -hoping- for the best. I have always loved tulips and daffodils in the spring!
