Today, the girls and I baked an Easter Bunny cake. As soon as it, and the cup cakes from the left over batter, were out of the oven, we began boiling eggs to dye. I put the cake in the fridge to cool down enough to frost, then we worked on the Easter Eggs.
As we cleaned up, I took the cake out of the pan, and put it on a platter, then stuck it in the fridge again. We got all the kids washed up, and while they were bathing & showering, I started to frost it. I was originally going to let them add sprinkles, but I think it's really cute the way it is! I don't want to add more sugar to it. ;)
I made up pink, light blue, light green, and yellow frosting to decorate the cake with. Once I got it frosted with the white base layer, I didn't have any lines left on it, so I used the tip of a knife to drag the design through the cake's surface.
I got it all done, and I think it turned out really cute! I am tempted to get out some chocolate chips to place in the eyes, but I think I'll just let that go, and leave it as is. The kids all thought it was really cute, too! We'll certainly enjoy it as part of our dessert tomorrow!

We also had strawberry shortcake for dessert, like Heather above.
