The death and resurrection of Jesus, it saddens me that so many who say they claim Him as Savior have turned against His Word or have compromised it afraid to look bad to the world we live in. Believe me when I say that I've been tempted to be quiet and not be so straightforward about my convictions just like anyone else. I want to be liked just like anyone. I don't want to be called names or accused of hating someone. In fact, every time I write an article that deals with Biblical issues that are touchy these days, I have to look at my heart and my motives and make sure of where I stand and why I'm saying what I say.
I can tell you that my heart is clean. I don't hate anyone. I do hate the sin that people have given in to because the Bible says the wages of sin are death. Someone on here said I should respect other religions other than Christianity. To the average intelligence of a human being, that would make sense. However, according to the Bible, the one behind all other religions besides Judaism and Christianity is Satan. They are satanic and are in opposition to the one and only God. I don't respect Satan, or the devil, as he is also called. So, why would I treat a religion that Satan has deceived people into believing with respect?
Someone on here even got so angry that I was going to pray for them that they threatened to get a voodoo doll representing me and stick pins in it and then burn it. That person thought this would somehow frighten me. It didn't because I know my covenant with God and I know that I have authority over anything the devil brings my way.
I've had experience with angels coming to my rescue when two men jumped out of the dark on a street in Los Angeles one night. I used the name of Jesus, which is the name above all names, and took authority over the situation and an angel stepped in and held one man in place and I guess the other guy could see the angel because he froze in place, too. The man in front of me, who wouldn't let me pass, couldn't even speak. His mouth hung open and his eyes were filled with terror. I walked on by and looked back a few moments later to see if the angel had released them. The man who wouldn't let me pass was starting at me with complete fear in his eyes.
Now, if you don't believe me, that's your problem. I was there and I know what happened. Also, don't try that if you don't know the Word and don't know your covenant with God because there were some people in the Bible who tried to imitate the Apostle Paul and the demons that they tried to cast out came on them. It's dangerous to play with what you don't understand.
Satan doesn't have power over me because I know where I stand in my covenant. That doesn't mean I have triumphed in every area where he attacks. I haven't. I'm learning every day and I'm going to keep learning and the more I learn, the more I put into practice.
The point I was trying to make earlier is that we are all tempted to give in to the world's way of thinking but we must not do that as Christians. If we compromise the Word of God, then we are no better than Peter when he denied Jesus and our behavior is a slap in the face of God and Jesus for the sacrifice Jesus made for us.
If we, as Christians, don't stand up for what Jesus taught and what the Word of God says, the Word says Jesus won't stand up for us when we face God on Judgment Day. The Bible says we are peculiar to the world. If you are trying to stay popular in the world, you will be offensive to Jesus.
The Bible says that marriage is between a man and a woman and that sex is to be within the confines of marriage. The Bible says that homosexuals, adulterers, fornicators, thieves, etc., will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If we, as Christians, don't tell others the truth, even if it's uncomfortable and unpopular, we will be responsible for them going to hell.
I don't know about you but I don't want to face God on Judgment Day and be told that a person went to hell because I was afraid to look bad to others. I'm going to stick to speaking what the Word says and living it regardless of what anyone else thinks of me. My goal in life first and foremost is to please God not other people. I would rather honor the sacrifice Jesus made and do as He commanded before He ascended to Heaven.
If you don't know what He commanded, He told us to preach the good news of the gift of salvation to the world and to teach others to obey what He commanded. God doesn't change no matter what the world chooses to believe. He hasn't changed His commands and he won't. If you want to be popular with men, you will not be pleasing to God.

I am a proud Pagan and study Voodoo. (ohhhhh, it is a religion ya know) and when I said don't pray for me please (notice the word please) you got all weirded out and started to ping me. and if you delete this comment, feel free...it will reposted up on my ping.
It is my understanding that ANYONE who has faith is welcomed into the Kingdom of God. Gifts are like that.
Ian, yes, we can have "faith", but it is what we do with it that gets us into heaven (and I'm not saying works).
And Marianne, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Understand the individual's CHOICE? God said the homosexual lifestyle is an abomination to Him. I would work on helping that individual live for God, not the abomination.
