The Easter Bunny laid off my Hubby!! =(

Well, not really true. If it were, I would grab his fluffy tail and swing his butt a good 5 feet...Hubby came home from work and say's he is now laid off. We exspected it for the past few week's. It's still alway's a shock. Why, I don't know..He was laid off most the time we have lived in Iowa. I insist on having a wonderful Easter, no matter what. I also am kind of glad he is laid off right now. It least the weather is getting warm, and we can injoy some hot time's in the sun =)

If Matt were laid off, it would be great for about one week. After all his "honey dews" were done, I would want him back to work!

I'm sorry your husband got laid off. I hope he will either get called back to work soon or that he will find another job as good as or better than the last one. I hope he gets unemployment pay and maybe something like sub pay.

What field is he in? There are job opportunities out there. I tell my students to go to business card exchanges. Also go door to door. Tell everyone what he is looking for.

I look at it as paid vacation time for now. I'm a machinist and you don't always find that kind of work door to door.

That is too bad :( My dad works construction- he JUST went back to work 2 weeks ago, and he's working a full week next week, followed by "Lay Off" time. He's able to draw unemployment each time, but even at full UE wages, he only pulls in about half of what he makes working, so it really hurts them. My step-mom has been out of work for quite a while, but for years, her job was artist related, she doesn't really have many marketable skills. :(

One thing you might want to consider is posting on craigslist for handyman stuff- mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, etc. It's a quick $20-30 here and there!

sorry to hear about your hubby laid off, hope you don't loose your house like we did, we are staying in here intill someone knocks on the door and tells us we have to get out. We are about 90% packed up but who knows..Life it just a bowl of pits....lol

So, I'm just reading this, how are things? ready to scream with hubby home yet? J/K, you always have a great attitude. Tell me how you do that? You could write a book on this and make millions. there are so many people suffering from unemployment these days and depression, it's scary.
