Well, I broke down and took Gillian to see Hannah Montana today. I have to say, I enjoyed the movie myself, though it barely resembles the show. The first 10 minutes are wacky, and resemble the actual TV show, with itty bitty guest spots by some Hannah Montana regulars.
After that, though, it's new faces as Hannah/Miley travels back to Tennessee to remember who she is, and to make an all important decision- should she still be Hannah? Or should the two lives become one?
Gilly was bored by the 20 minute mark. I think most little kids who love the show would be, because past the start, it doesn't resemble the show much at all. There isn't a lot of Hannah music in the movie, at least not after the start. There's also a lot of deep thinking moments, where Hannah/MIiley tries to figure out how she got to where she is, and how she'll get to where she wants to be.
It's a good movie, but I saw a lot of little girls bored during the longer parts. For some of the younger fans, it might be better to wait till it comes out on dvd.
I really enjoyed it, though!
