Website Optimization Using Gather © : 'Content, Content, Content ...

The preliminary results are streaming in, And Surprise !!! - Content is still king. According to both Quantcast and StatCounter services ( On Gather©, there are seventy-two friends ) there are roughly forty-two regular, unique readers. About half of those check the websites or blogs on a steady, predictable basis, every other day or so. About ten percent of those readers every day. It is remarkable that about half of this readership comes from outside of the United States. On days when I post what I call 'Creative Content', however, Short-Stories or Serious Writing, Interest Peaks. Easter Sunday was, I suppose I should have seen this coming, a notable exception- I think I was possibly the only one checking the stat's. According to the numbers, It's time for yet another serious submission. See Also 'Tips'

As I indicated, while there is some interest in articles such as this one, on the 'mechanics' of publishing, It's really all about serious, creative writing.

With just under two-hundred-and-seven readers, but whose counting, I haven't installed 'mapping' widgets as yet, nor am I likely to in the near future- but ... If and when I do so I will let you know. Thanks !!

I have roughly seventy-two friends on Gather, as compared to a maximum of forty-two unique visitors daily using StatCounter & Quantcast. The numbers do not directly correlate at this point- It is informational only. Half of those are regular daily readers, forty-percent every other day or so, and ten-percent first time visitors ...
