I did not expect to post another example of right-wing desperation quite so soon, but the anti-gay closet cases that dominate conservative "thinking" in this country keep providing laughs.
In response to the quick one-two punch for gay civil rights from the High Court in Iowa and from the legislature in Vermont, conservatives are reeling. After ekeing out a narrow faith-based victory for bigotry in California last November, they hoped that they had slowed the continued rise in acceptance of Gay Marriage.
Instead, gay marriage continues to fade as a flashpoint of voter concern, as, indeed, the entire "culture war" has subsided after repeated conservative losses.
To mobilize the nutcases who are still persuaded by a nonsensical argument that the marriages of others somehow threaten my own, conservatives have launched the ill-named "2M4M".
The initials are supposed to represent "Two Million For Marriage", but the shorthand is widely used in Dating, Relationship, Sex sites to designate the the numbers and genders of persons looking for partners.
M4M, M4W, 2W4M, etc. would represent a man looking for another man, a man looking for a woman, two women looking for a man - or so I have been told. :-)
Thus, it looks like the closet cases that dominate the anti-gay movement have inadvertantly let the "covers" slip once more.
Sex-obsessed as they are, they have revealed their true hopes for the project: maybe they'll meet the right two guys.
The group has also refused to post the numbers of persons who have joined this crusade.
There are some very funny comments on this blogspot:

I hope they don't realize their mistake for a long, long time.
The Conservatives are having a hay day with the gay marriage ruling in Iowa. I am going to a breakfast with Senator Olive this morning.
But Peter in all seriousness things are getting crazy in Iowa.
We had 11 pro life protestors at our clinic yesterday. One had a huge cross wrapped with a red shroud looking thing.
And when you consider we dont even do abortions at our clinic.
It is scary that they seem to be getting more radical as the more liberal Iowa is getting.
That is true, Lori, and I did not mean to let my enjoyment of the spectacle obscure the real dangers.
When an individual is organized around a delusion, he/she becomes dangerous when disabused of the delusion.
There is so much giggling in the blogshere, Kris, I believe that the name will be changed.
It was a rip-off the the "Six-by-Twelve" effort of gay civil rights organizations: 6 New England States with gay marriage rights by 2012, es
For the most part those folks dont bother me. Most of them are older but there is 1. I call s/he Pat.
Pat wears a parka zipped all the way shut so you cant see his/her face and rides a bike to the protests.
At one of our other clinics our doctor has had to be escorted by the police several times in the last couple of weeks because of the protestors.
Now realize that no one is ever Pro abortion...our doctors would love nothing more than to never have to perform another abortion but and this goes back to me meeting Senator Olive....we have had our funding for family planning services cut by the state. And this is not the funds that pay for abortions this is just the funding that pays for annual exams and contraceptive pills, patches, shots etc.
The biggest issue I have with these people is they dont seem to want to accept reality. Kids are having sex and they are either going to do it using real birth control or using a hope and a prayer.
I dunno whether to laugh hysterically or go find me a gay-bashing twit and smack 'im.
Absolutely correct, Lori.
The states with the highest expenditures on "Abstinence Education" lead the nation in teen-age pregnancies.
Exactly, Dannielle. Which is why the "small government" claims of conservatives are so hypocritical.
(I'm glad you and Galahad enjoyed the article)
Now THAT's good stuff.
I don't know how it could be better, Chuck.
They just get sillier every day.
Because there are no viable ideas or principles in the GOP, the best the party of old, white, southerners can do is hope for a revival of the "culture wars".
While my tone is facetious, Elizabeth, it is true that many anti-gay organizations are packed with closet cases.
These tone-deaf ideologueas are clueless; It's only a matter of time until their next blunder.
