As a teen, I read my first Christian fiction book - Love Comes Softly, by Jeanette Oke. I quickly read through all in the series by Oke, and many other series from her as well. She was one of the first authors to truly inspire me to write - especially since I wrote to her and she actually wrote back - a thrill for a preteen girl! All of her books have been published through Bethany House, and now that I am writing my own Faith Fiction novel, I thought that Bethany House might be a good opportunity to check into for publishing. I had looked up their guidelines a few years ago, but was surprised when I checked it out again today. This is what they say about submissions:
Submission Policy
Baker Books, Bethany House Publishers, Revell, and Chosen do not accept unsolicited manuscripts. All manuscripts received will be returned to the sender without review.
We will consider unsolicited work only through one of the following avenues. Materials sent to our editorial staff through a professional literary agent will be considered. In addition, our staff attend various writers' conferences in which prospective authors can develop relationships with those in the publishing industry.
If you are interested in having an editor view your work, we recommend submitting it to one of two writing services: The Writer's Edge, available both online and in print, or ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com, an online service of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. We subscribe to both these services and regularly review the proposals which appear there, as do many other Christian publishers. These organizations can be reached at the following addresses:
ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com
On the web: www.ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com
Email: info@christianmanuscriptsubmissions.com
Writer's Edge Manuscript Service
On the web:www.writersedgeservice.com
Email: info@WritersEdgeService.com
Mailing address: P.O. Box 1266, Wheaton, IL 60189
Has anyone heard of these? I would love to know more about this.

looks like it is similar for Zondervan - per their website:
For all other categories (fiction, Christian living, devotional, etc.), we'll consider only those proposals that come to us through ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com, the manuscript service of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (www.ECPA.org), or directly from agents or authors already published by Zondervan. Book proposals posted to ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com are available for review by all the member publishers of ECPA, and Zondervan has assigned an editor to regularly review all new proposals submitted there.
All unsolicited proposals or manuscripts received outside of the above instructions, either hard copy or electronically, will be discarded.
