Nick came home, and offered to get us pasta from Pizza Hut. We ordered it, then set the kids down with a movie so we could go pick it up, leaving Rae in charge.
We got to the gas station, and had been gone about 8 minutes, roughly, when we got a phone call from Raegan, frantic. Chris punched Gilly in the face, Gilly was bleeding and crying.
-sigh-
I think this is the first time Chris has ever been out and out violent like that. I mean, he does typical kid things- shoving at someone once in a while, etc. Nothing intended to actually harm a person like punching them in the face.
His reason? He asked Gilly to go look at something, and she ignored him instead of answering. This has been a big issue lately with both of them- they both ignore the other one, and get upset when they get ignored back. This is the 3rd time today alone that Chris got angry because Gilly was ignoring him.
We explain to both of them- ignoring is rude, but yelling and screaming because of it is also not allowed. Chris has his nose against the wall in Nick's room, while Raegan is eating. Chris is going without dinner (technically, he had a piece of pizza about 20 minutes before Nick got home, so he has eaten), and Gilly's scared to eat.
Oh, which reminds me of the part I hadn't said yet- Gilly's front tooth is hanging by a thread now, even though it wasn't even loose before hand. Thankfully it's still a baby tooth, but she's terrified of swallowing it, and is scared to eat because of it. She had eaten a bowl of cottage cheese not too long ago, though, so she's not really hungry right now.
Poor kid's shirt has blood all over it, and there's blood on the carpet as well. By the time we got back here, she'd stopped bleeding, and it didn't hurt anymore, but she was still crying because she's upset over it.

Lacey- me, too. :(
As for Chris...Yikes...I guess I'm fairly lucky, because my kids can be mean to each other, but very rarely are they so mean they lash out...mostly it's just ignoring or yelling...and suprisingly, the two really didn't fight at all over spring break.
Janet- OUCH! Earrings and ripped ears have always freaked me out! Ouch, ouch, ouch!!
