My son Hunter who is almost two loves anything to do with cars so it was quite easy teaching him about my favorite Nascar driver Jimmie Johnson. He can recognize Jimmie's car and Jimmie himself. I even have him to the point that when he sees him or the car he yells "Go Go Go Jimmie's car!" My husband was flipping through the TV the other night and came across a movie we love Talladega Nights starring Will Farrell. For those of you who have seen the movie you know Will Farrell plays a race car driver named Ricky Bobby. Well my husband thought it would be funny to change what I taught Hunter a little bit. My husband asked Hunter to tell me what we say when we see a race car. Hunter replied "Go Go Go Ricky Bobby." OK so maybe that is not to bad. It is kind of funny. Now picture this. In two weeks we are headed to Alabama for the Nascar race at Talladega. I can just see it now. Sitting in the stands surrounded by people screaming for their favorite Nascar driver and there is my son creaming "Go Go Go Ricky Bobby" at Talladega Speedway of all places. Boy do I have my work cut out for me to repair the damage my husband has done! LOL

BTW, a couple of our friends got married inside the track at Talledega before the race a few years back. I didn' even hink you could do that. We sent a gif!
My boys have REALLY gotten into NASCAR this year. Joe gets a little upset now, because they both know him in and out of his firesuite. He was on Trackside or one of the shows in street clothes and the boys come running through the room stopped dead and said Tony. Joe rolled his eyes shook his head and walked out of the room. LMAO Zander wants to watch a race daily and was peed this weekend that there is no race.

My parents took me to my first race when I was about 3 months old. When I was 3, I asked for only 2 things - a race car with Dick Linder's number on it and a tow truck.
