Authorities say an 86-year-old man threw food on his elderly wife, smacked her with the dish and pushed her Wednesday evening.
Albert A. Jones, 86, then kept swinging his arms as deputies tried to handcuff him and had to be forced to the ground to make the arrest, according to a Manatee Sheriff’s report.
The assault was reported around 8 p.m. by Jones’ tearful 83-year-old wife who was splattered with food from the neck down, the report said.
Jones was arrested on charges of domestic battery, resisting arrest without violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.
He must have really not liked the food she gave him. He sounds like a real jerk to me. Beating up on his elderly wife and then making her watch him get arrested, she must have been devastated.
