My Easter Sunday----- By Deloris Wright----

I will be alone this year.I can say It will be a long Easter Sunday. My Husband is in Texas He won't be home until May. I wish he was by my side I would be smiling with pride  My Children are all grown and have moved away Now their grandchildren come to play But not on this Easter Sunday. I will just have to remember The years gone by When the house was full and so was I .Children running here and there Chocolate  bunny smeared on their face's and Easter eggs hid different place's. Next week they will all be back from their other Grandma's place's .I will be glad to have them here Easter comes just one day a year. I love it, Because it means spring is near .So I can stand one day alone. Because Before very long the peace and quite will be gone

yes my kids and I were just talking about tradition, and how since we are grown we make new ones,, it just be another sunday except for church in the morning for us,, my childre all work and my folks are spending it without anyone they will spend a day to themselves,,,

I guess the only good thing about having just one child is she's always able to spend special ocassions with us. Her husband's parents live three states away and don't like to travel and they aren't a close family.

Nice poem. I remember one Easter when I realized I was going to be alone, I headed for the beach, and I ended up having a great day.

Since my children are all grown up and so is my grandaughter. The egg hunts and big meals dont happen . But that is not what Easter represents anyway. I did love getting a new Easter suit to wear to church. Admiring the families that had all their kids and grandkids together to show love for thier family.
