Spring Planting Completed (Mini Photo Essay)

This is an update to the article I posted yesterday. 

This afternoon I finished the spring planting after a stop to Home Depot, where I picked up 3 more coleus, 3 more impatiens and 2 merigold.  I wanted to get all of this in the ground before the storms roll in tomorrow.

So here's the results of what I had left to get planted.

I have those empty pots sitting out so the rain will clean some of the residual dirt out of them before they get thrown out or stored (depending on what condition they're in). Several of them cracked in the freezing temps this past winter.

I added the two merigolds above. They did well here last year and now Phyllis can have her frog too, lol.

I'll post a new essay in a few weeks when the mulching is done, and all the plants start to grow and fill out a little.

Beautiful! I can't wait to start sprucing up our gardens. We still have a ways to go before we can put flowers into the beds.

I love your garden frog! I'm trying to earn Home Depot cards to redo the kids bathroom. I have a feeling it will take a lot of Gathering to earn enough though!

lookin good dear friend - - - - we have to baby our plants so much here in the Arizona Desert - if it was a little higher we could do more - but for those who love succulents - its a paradise for them - - - I do have two beautiful Rose Bushes that look really healthy - I will put some pix on of those so you can take a look - - - and also - the old Metal Wheeled Cart friend re-did for us - so next week will have house ready for - seein by all... - - - photos are a comin promise - - - but wait til you see this neat cart - its an oldie cutie.

Aw, it's too cold here yet to plant but I went outside and cleaned some of my flower beds. Yours looks very nice.

I always make the mistake each year of thinking that the garden looks too sparse immediately after it's planted. I then add a few filler plants...then a few more, and in a month I end up with a tangled mess that takes twice as long to sort out. Sigh!

Yeah those impatiens should get at least 5x their size if not bigger. Depends on if they're cared for or not too tho. They'll be alright until I leave.

Yeah, Gunther is doing well. I haven't moved him to SC yet, but may take him when I go this week. Haven't decided yet since he's one of the few lawn art pieces still here in Georgia.

Gosh you really got it shaped up nicely and I know how much work that is! I love impatients, they are such workhorse...they get so nice and big and keep on blooming. I have a couple that survived our last cold snap in Feb that started blooming yesterday. Great photo essay!

Great job. I am so anxious to get planting, but the weather is still cold up here in the Midwest. It's getting warmer, but still isn't consistent. We had snow right before Easter. Ugh.

I love the planting around the mailbox. Around here it gets so hot, I just haven't found anything that might survive in summer.
