YouData is a pay per ad click site, that actually is unlike any of the other sites of this type that I have used. Being a member of this site, since last year, I have been able to experience both the good and the bad of the site. Like other traditional pay-per-click type sites, you are paid to click on ads. However this is where the similarity to other sites ends for the most part.
When you sign up you are asked for the usual information, but they also require that you give them your cell phone number. The reason they do this is to send you an authorization code. In sending it to you this way they are more or less trying to assure that you don't have more than one account on YouData. Beyond that, you don't give them your name, address, or any other personal information unless you think your PayPal address is personal. PayPal, is how they pay a person for clicking on their ads.
Next, Before you do anything you spend a bit of time filling out personal surveys. Through these surveys, they find out the kind of ads that would be more likely to appeal to you, thus eliminating the junk ads you would be bored with. This takes a bit of time, but nothing major. When you finish this, you are ready to check and see if you have any ads.
When you click on their ads, you are paid much better than on any other site! Generally each ad will pay you between .10 and .15 per ad. On a good week you can make a few dollars and where they differ from other sites is that, regardless of how much you make, you get paid every Friday and it only takes a minute or two a day to complete! However, there are more bad weeks than good weeks. You can make a few cents off of referrals each week. You get .01 for every ad your referrals click. But some weeks, other than that few cents, you earn nothing.
I have emailed them a few times to ask why I am not receiving any ads and have received no reply. In addition one week they didn't send my referral pay with my weekly pay. When I emailed about this, again I was ignored. I was paid the following week, but was left unhappy about being told nothing.
So basically it boils down to this:
The Good - They pay more than other places like this. They pay every week and without a minimum. Your referrals earn you money. You get ads tailored to your likes. It only takes a minute or two each day.
The Bad - Some weeks you have nothing to click on. You have to check in everyday unless you download their software. Their support staff can be inattentive to your needs or ignore you all together.
Overall- Its not a bad place, but it could be much better if they would pay attention to the people making them money. They need to have more ads to keep people interested in coming back. If it wasnt for me setting a permanent tab for them on my browser I am not sure I would remember to check for new ads.
