after finding the message that the sellers account has been disabled, i did contact the seller via google checkout, asking her where my ring was,

1 day later i get a message, that she does not know if it has shipped yet, since she had someone help her with packing and shipping the items, she said this person could not find the shipping info/ delivery /tracking number... she tells me she will try to find the papers and get back with me...

well here i am waiting for answer... she emailed she will refund my money if she can not find the shipping info...

so now i am wondering was this a scam in the beginning or was this just a mistake and her friend messed up and took the items... since her account was disabled from Overstock, there must have happened something else before, since i looked at her ratings before i bid, i was not concerned about scam, cuz she had 100% positive feedback...

now i am worried about getting my money back .... so please if you do ever decide to use this site make sure to contact a seller before you buy/bid

i have learned my lesson the hard way

I wonder if it's a phising scam. I never get an e-mail about Overstock auctions. I get lots of e-mails from Overstock, but not for the auctions. I go to the auctions via the actual website.

It would be great if this person did right and refunded your money or shipped your ring. Most people aren't that fortunate. Hopefully in a few days we will see a post from you saying that the ring is on the way...!

Oh no. I hope you get your money back. Did you pay with Paypal? If so you can file with them and get your money back I think. At least that's how it works with eBay. I 've never used Overstock. Perhaps they have some sort of buyer protection policy?

I hope things get straightened out for you. Sounds fishy to me. Anytime you deal with buying from an individual it's hard to know whether they can be trusted.
