I spent a few hours at the pond yesterday. It was a buzz with activity . Birds darted about, the dogs had a blast, William fished. I took photos, are you surprised ?
The male Red Winged Blackbirds were out in numbers . I heard their Bree-eeee song coming from almost every bush. I did spot one female she was with a male. They had taken up residence in a very brushy spot near the waters edge. I promise to post a few photos of them later.
The single males where flying about from bush to tree, in display. Here is my favorite shots of a Red Winged Blackbird in display flight.

Here is another.

You can really see the red and yellow on their wings as they dart to and fro.

Canadian Gees were coming and going.

The insects are out now.

As well as the spiders.

I know this isn't the best photo but this Ospry has a fish in his talons.

A chickadee looking for that specail someone.

I am not sure but it looks like this Red Winged Blackbird is trying to stand on his head. A group of them hung around at a camp site. The man camping there didn't seem to scare them at all.

A large hawk soars overhead. A pair has a nest in a large tree, across the pond, where they have raised their young for several years now.

Humans are out enjoying the seventy degree weather too.

Happy dogs.

It is beautiful here, every day.
