Woman kills her son and herself at a gun range

How absolutely horrible.......seems that violence is at an all time high these days........it's so terribly frightening!

That's horrible. If her mental illness was known she shouldn't have had a gun in the first place

My mom told me about this today. She said they actually show the servaliance video online.

All this violence is really starting to get to me. So many shootings and why?

If this offends anyone I am sorry but when they took prayer and God out of everything they took common sense, compassion, and intelligence out of the schools and the public forum. America has spent the last 40 years or so pushing the concept of think of yourself first and others never. Obviously many people (Thanks Be) didn't succumb to this line of thinking but enough have to make killing someone else and committing suicide (to get out of being held accountable) to solve their problems an easy way out of those problems. Also, life moves in cycles/circles and hopefully it's time soon to swing back the other way.

Unfortunately, some people just can't take it anymore...and for a lot of the reasons that Doris stated.

I have to wonder though why these mentally disturbed people haven't been put away someplace? Considering recent events, it's obvious that they are a danger to society as well as their own families in some cases.

I feel for that woman, to be so depressed that she had to take not just herself, but something so precious as her own flesh and blood. No matter what the age.

The gun range had the actual video of this incident.

When I was a wee lad, me mum often contemplated burning down the house with us in it, because to her the world was a bad place and if she ended her life, she did not want to leave me behind, as her little prince, to suffer in a world so evil; so when I would wake up groggy on one of those mornings when I had been drugged before bed-time, so as to sleep through the fire... she would confess it all to me when I would come down to the kitchen for breakfast.

I am now all-grown up and with a ministry; and there is no longer any family left... But I was thinking about all of this when I read this posted story about the mum killing her son and then herself... and though so horribly sad; it all somehow made sense to me... thinking about how she saw things and thought she was simply doing what she deemed right... though it was all very wrong to do, to her, it all made sense... like things did to me own mum when I was a wee lad almost being murdered by her, and then her own contemplation of a follow up suicide...
