My Prayer

Bewilderment astounds me

With the people in my life

Who don't believe in God

The Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ

Their blindness to their Savior

Is their business I accept

But they spew so much hatred

Showing so little  respect

Christ is my savior

My life and my Lord

Without him I'm nothing

And that I can't afford

I pray for their souls

That they will find their way

To find the peace inside

That buoys me today

In the midst of the storms

That toss and turn my life

Just trying to be a mother

And a good loving wife.

One day God's mercy

Will be cast upon my soul

When I rise to Heaven

Rejoicing with the bold

I pray for all the  ones

Who return love with hate

I'm running out of time

I worry about their fate

I will continue in my prayers

With my whole heart and soul

That they will find the love of God

And see the truth unfold

I will not give up on

My life and my quest

That God will one day

Grant me my request

To draw those near  Him

So they'll find the way

To live in eternity
