We are starting In-Vitro Fertilization!

I wanted to update you all on where we are with our baby making! 

On March 26^th I wrote:

The post in the link above explains why we have to use a gestational surrogate and everything we have gone through so far just to get to this point!

  We got the OK from the judge to proceed with the gestational surrogacy.  In fact he said "Congratulations!  Now, go make a baby!" J 

 Monday I got to the doctor for my teaching visit and the nurse asked where my medications were.  I had no idea what she was talking about.  She submitted the forms to my insurance company and they were supposed to order the medications for me and have them here by the 6^th.  They hadn't even called.  My husband got on the phone with them and found out they denied it all.  She went ahead and gave me the Lupron injection because my surrogate had already had it that day and we have to stay on the same cycle.

 The medications I am taking are:

Lupron

Follistim

Menopur

Vibramycin

hCG

 I understand them not covering the Follistim and the Menopur but Vibramycin is an antibiotic!  After lots of fighting we submitted each prescription individually and they covered Lupron, hCG, and the Vibramycin.  It is so frustrating that we had to spend hours on the phone to get them to pay for what they are supposed to.  Not to mention the fact that they didn't even let us know they weren't ordering the meds so now we had to pay for them to be over-nighted yesterday so that I can get my first injection tomorrow after my ultrasound and blood work. 

 I have to mix the Menopur and the Follistim together, otherwise there would be 3 injections daily.  The shots go in my stomach. 

At this point I have to go to the doctor on the 9^th, 13^th, 15^th, 17^th, 20^th, and 21^st and then we should be doing the egg retrieval at the hospital on the 23^rd.  That would make the transfer on the 27^th.  That is an approximate schedule and all of this depends on the blood work and ultrasounds I have at each visit. 

 If this goes according to this schedule we will have another January baby!  My daughter's birthday is January 22^nd and my son's is January 29^th.  This one will have a due date of approximately January 13^th.
