Opens up all the spaces between everything to let the blood (oxygen) in.
I went into the pt office with a cane, hunched over - she had me do this for about 50 swings back and forth. I got up and walked out, upright, without the cane.
Whenever my back starts acting up (I have 2 herniated disks in my lumbar area) I do this and boy does it help.
May not help everyone, but I have showed it to a few people and has worked for them (those with similar injuries).
