He sure apologized for just about everything short of the sun not staying out 20 hours a day, that might make some of the less thinking types happy.
Mmm... ;> I agree it is a good step forward irt that issue. Whether I agree or not with that step forward is a different issue. :)
I agree Obama is steppin in it. And I agree what he is doing is a good way to step in it (into the One Word deal ... orrrr ... into the traditional meaning of 'it' in this context -- the reader should choose which one he/she prefers). But I do not agree it's a good thing at all.
HOWEVER, it is a step towards keeping the world in one piece!
At the same time maintaining everyone's identity, beliefs and chosen government.
I truly believe whole heartedly that there will be a one world government, I hope that I am not here to witness it.
I don't think Obama is the one to lead it, but I think he, as many others are players in God's perfect plan.
Mooch
But I also think that if you support Obama you will disagree but if you dont you will agree.
What I would really like is for someone who agrees to give an explaination as to why they agree.
Preferably something without a religious angle and with some grain of reasoning.
Over a Muslim's dead body!
that was such a loaded question! ha
Even if we wanted to become One World I doubt very much whether the Muslim nations would agree to it.
I do however agree with the statement Janet made
"I think a one world, one gov't is a very bad idea... "
have we all forgot the first ammendment?
NO WAY!!
I think it would be fine to be friendly and all but I don't ever want One World One Government. That is total control. We need the conflicts and differences.
Anyway, the news accounts sound as if the world's leaders are having a "tea party", smiling and being gracious but with no intent to follow through on anything. Every man for him/her self!(country)
With the obvious fakery, who knows what will result?
Then again ... maybe the old saying is true - keep your friends close and your enemies closer. +shrug+
From the looks of the "gifts" Obama gave Britain, the overtures to Israel's enemies and to Japan's enemies, and the way even President Obama blames things on the U.S. seems like he's well on his way to at least part of that --- keeping his enemies closer.
I think he should cultivate friendships with as many countries as he can. That way we will all have each other's backs.

I hope so, too, but I don't see any action on this front.
Given the divisiveness among the countries of our world, it's pretty certain that not even any of our grandchildren could live to see a One World Government.
Obama's "friendship" with Muslim nations can only be a first step towards an increase in world peace.
If you are looking for harbingers of a One World Government, I'd suggest focusing on how our business spheres are so completely in bed with China.
The Christian Bible mentions a time during which there will be a world government, under what it calls "The Beast" (who is to rise from out of the sea...) yet even then it suggests that this power will be tenuous at best and after 3.5 years part of the conglomerate will break away.
However, I believe this prophecy, as it is just prior to the very end while a dire warning, is not necessarily upon us yet - it is up to us to choose whether to hasten the end or avert it. There is no timetable given, despite mention of the year 2012 in other circles.
The only way I'd agree to a one-world government would be if all were to adopt Larry K. Mason's evolutionary new monetary/economic system (which I like to call "Net Benefitism"), because it would truly make the world a better place. Those who don't believe it haven't read his material, but I tell you: I don't easily fall for every little idea that is thrown at me. And I believe WE CAN DO THIS with all my heart and soul.
In closing I'd like to say I have no problem with anyone of any other faith as long as they:
1. Grant me the right to have my own with as much dignity and respect as they demand for theirs, and
2. Do not have a "convert or die" mentality (as in Sharia Law, etc.)
I think that's fair, practical, and honest.
I am for our President trying to have peaceful relations with all countries, but I see little that this has to do with a one world government.
Anyone who thinks that there is a remote possibility of there being a world government has never been to a school board meeting.
Don't know if your question is so cut and dry. I agree President Obamo's friendship with Muslim nations is a good. Don't think it's a stip toward 'One World' or 'One Government'. I agree it will help religions get along better than they have. Toucy question, Mary.
A moderating power, similar to the United Nations, is a better bet, but not even that’s not working out so well.
Incidentally, has anyone besides me heard anything about the supposed Barack Obama plan to have the United Nations charter supersede the United States Constitution? Based solely upon which I have heard, it amounts to treason. Hopefully, this is just a bad rumor.
I agree with the principle of trying to mend fences and bring about peace. I am not in favor of a One- World-one Government.
Thank you for your comment on my KS double rainbow.
