Do you believe you can find love on the internet? Honestly, I don't and would never try it. Love is supposed to be something that just happens. Plus there's all those creepy people out their who join those sites for the wrong reasons.
I do know of one instance (a former co-worker) whose sister met her husband online. 15 years later they are still very happily married. It does happen, though not as often as most people want. Honesty is critical in all relationships, no matter how you meet.
I only personally know only one couple who met on line and married, so I can't speak for anyone else. Sounds dangerous to me, but then I'm not in the dating game.
I met my husband of 7 years though an online dating site. A cousin met her hubby through online dating too, adn they've been together even longer than my hubby and me.
Really, there are a lot of creepy people trying to pick up dates in bars and other places too, for equally creepy reasons.
I think online dating is a money making scam. Advertisers know that people (women especially) are obsessed with getting married and capitalize on that conceot.
