I love to cook and bake. I used to make my own pie shells but recently I have taken to purchasing them because of my health. I just don't have the strength to make everything homemade anymore. However, you cannot beat a homemade pie shell. They are so much better than the commercial ones. I cannot wait until I feel up to makeing my own pie shells again. Prepared Pantry has a free E-book titled The Perfect Pie- A Handbook for Pie Lovers.

This is a wonderful handbook. It has tips on making pie shells of various kinds as well as recipes for pies. It is free to download.

I used to bake pies. Since I never got the hang of the shell, I always used store bought shells.
My favorites were pumpkin and pecan.

I still bake pies, but most of the time I don't bother with making the shells. It is true, there is nothing as good as a home made shell, but unfortunately, todays world has made everything to easy.
My favorites are apple, pecan pie, peach, pumpkin, sweet potato
