ABC stores? I am not familiar with that term...............but there are many stores in Maryland that do sell alcohol on Sunday's, I know some states can't but I don't think that it will stop people from drinking and driving.

I don't iknow what a ABC store is. But I am guessing it is a liquor store. and No I don't think they should be poen on Sunday.

Honestly, I do not see any difference with it being available on Sundays or not. People who are going to get drunk are going to find ways either way for the most part. Around here you can get alcohol no matter the day or the week, in the regular grocery store, and a few 24 hour places (not many 24 hour places of any sort around, so thus why only a few).

I live in Ft Lauderdale there is always some place selling liquor, beer or whatever...it does not stop drunks if they can't buy it in a store the drunks just go to bars...People who drive drunk will always find a place to get liquor, if it is at home - a friends home, or at a bar or store. Changing laws does not help drunks

im not sure if bars are open on sundays there, i think its better if people buy there alcohol and take it home. rather than sitting at the bar and drinking up.

Usually stores run by their own corporate rules.

In Iowa there are convienience stores open on Sundays that sell beer.

In California alcohol is sold 7 days a week.
The only time alcohol cannot be purchased is between 2:00 AM and 6:00AM

Why do you feel as if this a "problem" to be blamed on the Democrats?

An ABC store is a liquor store and it has to do with politicians because in a news story the other day they were saying how local politicians were trying to get a law passed for it to be sold on Sundays. I am not sure why it has to be a law that's just what was said. I don't blame democrats for this because if you read my post I never said that I blamed democrats I just said that they were the ones locally trying to get this law passed.

The government has no business tell privately owned businesses when they should or should not be opened. I am so sired of the government sticking their noses in where they don't belong.

This law already passed in my state now they are working on selling the stuff in grocery stores. I have no problem with liquor stores being open on a Sunday as these folks will just get it elsewhere. However, I'm not happy about it being sold in local grocery stores. I don't want to navigate around drunks to shop for cereal and fruit with my kids. Liquor should be sold in designated locations so those who want to avoid it can do so. I never shop in convenience stores to avoid the inebriated oddballs hanging around near them.
