Happy Valley and Chinese Gardens Lagoon at Sunrise, Port Townsend, Washington (photo Essay)

I was asked to work at my care center on Sunday, but when I reported in at 6 a.m., there was already a full staff. I left, and later discovered I was actually needed on swing shift, later in the day. Since I had my camera in my purse, I took pictures of the dawning day on the way home. Here I captured Happy Valley, where the care center is located, and Chinese Gardens Lagoon, which is close to my home and adjacent to North Beach. The photos were quite dark, so I played with the lighting...

Karen, I am thinking that the orbs are actually lights, and the more indistinct one may be a house in the distance. But it's true, I do tend to capture a lot of orbs in night shots!

My sister lived in Port Angeles and so each time I came to visit her I passed by your way...and even ventured into the town a few times. It is a beautiful part of the country. I love the water ways, the ocean views and the mountains. On a clear day you can see so much beauty from where you are.

Gorgeous shots!  I love the misty effects shrouding the details and eluding to mystery.  The crisp shot of the mist over the water in the pink sunlight is amazing as well.  Great job here.
