Need help: Is there a way to organize the Groups I belong to??

I need help learning to navigate gather quicker and easier.

I see you can organize your friends by groups--any group you want.

Is there a way to organize the groups I belong to?  It would help me be able to find them easier--if I want to visit one.  It would also make it easier to post to:  if I want to post a photo--I could find all the photo groups, if I want to post a good deal I find--I could find all the savings groups, if I want to post about a bzzagent experience....etc.

Right now when I post I have to go thru the whole list and be sure I click on each of the groups it pertains to and not accidentally hit a wrong group who is not interested in what I am saying.  Or is this the only way to do it?

I am just learning to navigate on this site. A friend of mine from Arizona helped me tremendously. I would have quit if it wasn't for him. It is hard to learn everything just by rweading the rules. You can maybe ask someone who has been at Gather a long time. I wish I could help you with what you asked.

Thanks, Gul. I just know there has to be a better way to get around than I am. I would like to make the time I have on gather more worthwhile--get more out of the time I have.

There isn't an easy way within Gather. People have been asking for that for years, but so far Gather hasn't done anything along those lines. I too would love to be able to browse my groups by related subject, as well as for publishing concerns.
There may be a way to do it out of Gather so to speak, and I would ask Kevin V. "The Site Wizard" in his daily help articles. He publishes an article every day to help people with work-around plans etc., as well as general questions. You should be able to find an/his articles in the Amateurs, Newbies, Rookies, and Friends group here, as well as joining his own group that he publishes to... Off the top of my head I think it is called the "Help Center," but would have to go find it to be sure.

I found the group address as helpcenter.gather.com and he is really nice at helping people with PC type "stuff" that is over my head, LOL. He should have an article out shortly, as he publishes one almost everyday.

Yes...there is a way to accomplish all of the above fairy painlessly. Unfortunately, due to significant 'offline' commitments this weekend I have been unable to publish my daily help article or comment very much in the community.

However, I hope to publish this afternoon and return here with some tips and help.

In the interim, it would help me to know what browser you use (primarily).

Kevin, thanks a million. Okay, browser, ummm, you can see I am not very computer literate--that would Internet Explorer, right? Do you ned to know which one? How would I find that out on my computer and I can let you know.

If I knew of a way to arrange the groups to make posting to them easier I would use it. I don't publish anything often as it can be a pain .
