The weeks go by too quickly.
We got to watch grandbaby Elliot twice this week; Wednesday and Thursday.
Classes have begun again at LLI. I was shocked upon arriving at my Existentialism class to discover that 51 people had signed up. Whoda thunk that so many people 55 and older, many much older, (at 60 I am still one of the youngsters at school) would be interested. We have also started Mother Courage in my Drama class.
We recently saw Jane Goodall at the St. Louis Speaker Series. Very interesting. The final speaker this year will David McCullough. I donÂ’t know how many cities have programs like this, but I love ours. Jes and I have been attending for seven years and have seen among others; Tim Russert, James Carville, Rudy Giuilani, Elie Wiesel, Bob Woodward, Benjamin Netanyahu, Benazir Bhutto, Colin Powell, Madeline Albright, Salman Rushdie Alan Alda, Arianna Huffington and David Brooks. Next year we get to see Pervez Musharraf, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Laura Bush, Robert Reich, Mia Farrow, Thomas Friedman and Greg Mortenson.
Cut grass for the first time today (Friday). Did some yard work a week or so ago. In the beginning it is kind of fun, but will soon become a chore.
Jes turned me on to Fringe, so I have gone to hulu and watched episodes four through fourteen. One through tree are no longer available. Must be a popular show. There is even a Fringepedia. Reminds me a lot of the Xfiles.
