After spending some time with my peers in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) I was doing some preliminary research regarding what all this means to you and me, Writers in Gather. I was struck by the proliffic work of Web Stratigist Jeremiah Owyang and his perspective. His work is extensive but needs to be translated into terms that we, as writers, can begin to understand. It has been said many times before, but the very language of the internet is, and needs to be, constantly refined and reinvented.
Such terms and phrases such as, " ... become part of the community.", "... focus on the needs of the community.", " ... increase interaction."," ... ( personal ) experience always comes first." While true, take upon themselves an entirely new perspective or meaning in the context of the new, or internet, writer.
