A mother from Gardner, Mass. has been charged with stabbing her 2-year-old daughter with scissors and attempting to strangle the toddler with an electrical cord; she is being held without bail. Susan Johnson, age 38, was ordered to undergo a competency hearing and held pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for April 17. after being arraigned in Gardner District Court on Thursday, April 2nd.
Police arrived at the scene to find Johnson being restrained on the floor by a security guard. Johnson stabbed the child in the torso, neck and head and tried to wrap an electric cord around the childs neck in the laundry room of a Gardner apartment building late Wednesday before she was restrained. She did not live there. The child is hospitalized and is in the custody of state child welfare officials.
This is such a horrible story and I feel bad for that poor child who ad to endure such an awful attack. Makes me wonder what this mother has done to her child in the past but not gotten caught.

I really hate that. Please even if you are a bit on the loony side you know it is wrong to stab and try to kill your child. People who hurt defenseless innocent children are the worst to me. I hope she rots in hell.
I dont understand why people would want to hurt their children...
thats a terrible story
