As I sit here in with my laptop on this warm but gray and rainy morning, a sinus infection in full rage, I am drinking a cup of cranberry apple tea, thinking that this is not the day I had envisioned only yesterday.
How many of us make plans only to have them changed by circumstances often beyond our control? Although it can be frustrating, we learn to roll with the punches—or spend our days lamenting our misfortune.
For today’s prompt, assume that you are in full control of your day, and there are no limitations to how you can spend it. Money is not an issue, nor is there any physical or geographical limitation.

The genie has granted you one perfect day, and you alone must decide what that entails. Fill in all the details: where you are, if you’re with others or choose to spend it alone, and what you’re doing. Pay attention to the sights, the sounds, and smells. Include the little things that help your readers clearly picture your special day.
Remember, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so dream big!
I look forward to reading your submissions.

Thank you, Nancy and have a great day!
The fresh smells of fish hangs heavily upon entering ,walking past the vendor stalls of the market. Flower salad mixtures shine brightly. Oh man, I love it! Downtown Seattle is a vibrant place filled with interesting, laid back people. Walking into the ball park... There's nothing like entering a baseball stadium, the green diamond symmetric layout. The game is great as we meet Scott's boyhood hero, Ken Griffey Jr.. Singing the national anthem, Elvis gives a rocking performance too. We dine on fish taco's & Pepsi's..
After the game, we head to an exclusive waterfront dining spot to have the most magnificent broiled salmon & shrimp dinner. Our server's are lustily gorgeous as they spoon feed us. ( Hey, this is the perfect day, isn't it?) Later, we enjoy a party where everyone who has entered our lives is waiting upon our arrival.. My late parents are there, as is my brother. Bygone dogs frolic in the darkness outdoors. The air is warm & filled with laughter. Can this be any better?
My perfect day would take place on Necker Island, the private island owned by Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Records, located in the British Virgin Islands.
(Check out it’s incredible beauty at http://www.neckerisland.com/)
Since there are 31 people on staff (including a private chef), every guest would be more than sufficiently pampered. I’d pick a room with a gorgeous canopy bed looking out over the water, and a tub to soak in on one of the open-air balconies.
The day would start with a swim in the outdoor freshwater pool, followed by a light breakfast and then a hike around the island. The birds would be chirping, the sun would be shining, and the island flowers and foliage would be in full bloom.
We’d all meet for lunch where the chef would prepare a surprise meal for us, complete with gorgeous tropical flower arrangements and lots of fruit-based drinks. We’d talk and laugh, and afterwards, we’d all go for a long walk on the beach together—the sand warming our bare feet, holding hands and running out into the surf like we did when we were kids.
We’d head back to our rooms where I’d take a long hot bath, and dress for dinner. The dining room that overlooks the beach would be lit with candles, and the chef would make a magnificent lobster dinner, complete with champagne. We’d take turns toasting each other, and then go down to the bar and tell stories and laugh until we all were deliciously exhausted, and we’d head off to bed.
Sorry about your plans and your day. You know the old saw, "Man plans and God laughs."
I hope you feel better. I pretty much can imagine what you're feeling like, and it's not good. I'm going to try to fit this one in (probably not on Friday, since it's already Saturday), but still.

To the east, arctic meadows roll in lazy waves toward Hudson Bay under a slate gray sky. Toward the south, the children of the sun slide down shafts of light to romp with the endless strings of migrating caribou.
There is no where to go, because the same where is everywhere, yet every now and then a head snaps up and the eyes study the horizon for a wolf pack, a bear or you.
