Underground poets
Silent singers
Writing the music of our souls
Vibrations from the earth
Cavernous waves of sound
Buried deep underground
Struggling to come out
Seeping from the land
Openness of our hearts
Demands my open thoughts
sharing all I am
Hoping you'd understand
Closed up inside
We all have something we hide
but one day it will seen
What your lives truly mean
Yet flying free
I see my prison
Pulled from where I'd been hidden
Forever chained by thy derision
This I wrote years ago and found on a visit back to my parents... I shall share more of what I found and write more soon.

Funny how, as we age, we become the derider rather than the object of derision!
