For those of you that have commented, Seal, is he still around or Seal has a new album? Wake up people and smell the Roses! We, my husband Bob and I, were treated, by our friend Trinette, to the Seal concert at the Civic Opera House last night in Chicago. We were seated in the second row behind the folding chair area of the covered orchestra pit, nice and close up! As my friend Trinette had mentioned to me, Seal is better in person than on his albums. What a smooth voice he has, which brought several women in the area to tears, we won’t mention who. I think that Seal was wondering why everyone was being so nice and sitting in their seats. Well Seal, I do believe it was the Opera House setting, which was awesome, but a bit too proper! We did finally get it and were on our feet, dancing and singing and just having one awesome time! I think it is safe to say that he brought the house down, being right in the middle of it and having the time of our lives! I must say that seeing blood dripping down the screen and seeing Nosferatu walking around on the screen was one awesome opening to the concert. Although we felt like we were being tortured waiting for Seal to finally come on stage! But the wait was so worth it! I heard him sing “Prayer for the Dying” which is my personal favorite and so now I can die happy! “Kiss from A Rose” was pretty darn good too! He not only did songs from his new album Soul, but a great mix of all his work! He ended his encore with “People Get Ready” which was one awesome way to end an awesome performance. It is very obvious that Seal loves his fans and draws such energy from them. We love him too and I think we all showed him just how much! So, for you poor people that think they are funny and say, is he still around, boy I sure feel sorry for you, you don’t know what you are missing!
I also wanted to mention that my husband Bob and I were at the filming of the Sound Stage Seal concert on WTTW. This was one of the most awesome experiences of our lives. Not only did we get to see Seal, but we were a part of Sound Stage, which we have been watching since we can’t remember when and we just couldn’t believe we were now a part of it! Seal would talk with the audience between tapings and also did some a cappella singing for us that was just amazing! If you have the chance, do not miss seeing Seal in concert! You will not be disappointed!
