For some reason I haven't been able to post any photos tonight. I just keep getting error messages, which is really frustrating. I took a few bird photos today that I thought were really neat, and since I can't post them individually, I'm going to do it this way.
I FINALLY got some shots of the blue jay that has been wandering around. He's very skittish.
I don't the blue jay was too thrilled with me. I couldn't get any closer...as it was he flew away and came back a few times.
This is the first time I've seen a woodpecker on the ground eating bird seed. He was there for about 10 seconds before the blue jay came back, and the two of them got in a shouting match.
They were both such beautiful birds. I couldn't really get any other shots...they were moving around too much.
Then this guy comes up and scares them both off. We have 3 male and 2 female cardinals flying around. The males have been dive bombing and going after one another, which I assume is to stake territory and get one of the female's attention.
Can you tell these are 2 different cardinals?
This one always "hides" in the same place....like I can't actually see him or something.
When he saw the other male, he got his feathers all in a ruffle. I wish I could have gotten an unobstructed shot. He's beautiful.
I think this one may be the third male...I'm not quite sure. They don't hang around very long...nor do I think they like me taking their photo....
I still couldn't get a decent flying shot....they were moving way too fast and the sun was setting....

As of yesterday, I can't upload to albums but can to "other photos" but only a few at a time otherwise I get an error.
My feeder is currently inside charging. I noticed the doves have been able to sit on it now. With a full charge, they get spun off like the squirrels only a little less forcefully, lol.
When I get photo posting errors, I've found if I post with no groups, the photo goes up with no problems. I then edit the photo to add the groups once it has posted.

Those shots I got of my woodpecker actually came about because a bluejay was on my feeder and I grabbed the camera to get shots of him. Then the woodpecker showed up seconds before I got the camera in my hand and scared off the bluejay.
Great shots! What kind of camera do you have anyway? I need a new one. Fat chance of that anytime soon.

We're finally getting quite a bit of different kinds of birds at our feeders. Hubby knows what they all are. I only know the basics - robin, cardinal, bluejay, blue bird, woodpecker. LOL We had a yellow one before we left for WV, and today hubby saw some kind of bluish bird with black tips or something. I forget what he said. I need my bird book to look at that stuff. LOL
