daily prayer

I have been praying for a friend of mine.  He is 13 and has been going through some health issues lately.  The last test results I think have been positive. I talked to him last night but being 13 he doesn't always pick up on everything the doctor says.  I will have to talk to his mom to find out more.

 

I found this prayer online and it spoke to my needs.  I thought it would share it:

 

Jesus, it is in my hour of need that I see Your powerful provision in my life. When I am in need of comfort, You are my Comforter. When I am in need of courage You go before me. When I am in need of friendship You are my friend that sticks closer than a brother. When I am in need of stability You are the Anchor for my soul. When I am in need of finances You own the cattle on a thousand hills. When I am in need of peace You are the peacemaker. When I am in need of food You are the Bread of Life. When I am thirsty You are the living water that leads to eternal life. You are my Shepherd and I shall never be in want of anything. Thank You for meeting every need I have. Amen.

Good prayer, and I can relate to this concern, as my son's health crashed around that age. Fortunately he got diagnosed (for the most part by a friend of mine, whose knowledge I pursued) and is now a healthy young man.

sure..I have kids ages 12 and 15...even without health issues, kids that age need all the prayers they can get.

That prayer is so true. There have been times in my life when I was going through so much turmoil, but as soon as I turned it over to Jesus, He gave me an unexplainable peace. By the way, the first time this happened I was about 15, surrounded by strangers, no family, and going to a place I never seen before. Normally, I would have been scared speechless but God was there. He made all the difference. I will be praying that the thirteen year old will also experience that kind of peace.
