I always enjoy walking around the National Mall in a sunny spring afternoon. The annual Cherry Blossom Festival kicked off last Saturday and the flowers are at peak this week. I took some photos to share.

For some reason, many traffic lights were not working. As a result, cars and pedestrians looked at each other and guessed possible movements and hesitated and proceeded with caution. Thus I didn't venture to the Tidal Basin area which is the most popular sight for cherry blossom. Maybe later I will share some photos I took last year.

You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control Your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be Mastering change rather than allowing it to master you."
Thanks for sharing the pictures - it's always my favorite time there. Haven't seen them since I was a kid...
This year has been cold indeed. Yesterday was gorgeous and today is rainy and cold again. :(
I can't wait for my flowering tree to bloom!

Bright blessed days ... dark sacred nights
And I think to myself ... what a wonderful world"
I know it's not about cherry blossom, but this song came to my mind. Thanks for sharing.
