I don't usually like to watch golf on television. I'd much rather be on the golf course myself-preferably one in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area, which has some really great courses.
However, I had to make an exception yesterday to watch Tiger Woods. The man has been recovering from a knee injury/knee surgery for the past nine months, and yet last night he managed to battle his way to a win in a neck-and-neck competition. Seriously, you couldn't ask for a better ending. It was like something out of a movie: Tiger and the guy he was playing with (sorry, I don't know his name) were tied going into their last putts on the last hole. Tiger made a 12-foot putt to pull ahead and win. Talk about major golf drama! It was very exciting stuff.
You have to love Tiger Woods, and I hope yesterday's performance is an indication of his continuing successful career. I'm still not going to become an avid tv golf-watcher. Like I said, I prefer to be outside golfing and enjoying the fresh air. But I may still check in on Tiger from time to time.
