Daily Whine & Shine - Tuesday, March 31, 2009
by Marilyn Mackenzie
Whether you agree with the concept or not, everyone needs to be able to vent from time to time. That's especially true if you're one of the many who suffere from an invisible illness. We have whines and rants about pains, medical professionals and prescriptions, just to name a few. Perhaps our families listen; perhaps they don't. Even if they do, they get tired of our complaining, even if they claim to understand our struggles. Or if they don't get tired of our "negative energy" we think they do or will.
Do you need to rant about something? Tell us about it.
Do you have somie celebration or victory you need to share? This is the place.
What's happening in your world today? Are you grumpy about somiething? Or so angry you could spit? Tell it here. Here at the Daily Whine & Shine, it's acceptable to rant, vent, complain, stomp your feet, throw a tantrum, and shout, "Oh shuckie darn!"
Wait! Don't go away! Do you have some good news to share? Great. This is the place for that as well. If you're celebrating, dancing, and yelling, "Yippee Skippy!" please share. Sometimes knowing about someone else's happiness gives us a bit of hope
for ourselves.
Whether you're shouting, "Oh shuckie darn!" or yelling, "Yippee skippy!" - this is the place to be. Pulll up a rocking chair, and let's talk about it.
Now, let's celebrate!!!

Food for thought:
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. - Thomas Jefferson
A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second, that second for a third, and so on 'til the bulk of the society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering ... And the forehorse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression. - Thomas Jefferson
All that is needed for the triumph of evil is for enough good men to do nothing. - Edmund Burke

Helping you reach your gather goals!
I have a major Gather Complaint right now and I ranted on it earlier so if you missed the rant here is a summation of it.
I get upset when people get attacked for standing up for friends on Gather. A person should not have to defend themself for who they are friends with or why they stand up for that person. His comment was immediately deleted before anyone else could read it, I know how to do that really well to about 20 people, but this person was one of their own, and probably one of the people I respect the most that I totally disagree with on most issues in the political spectrum, but I respect his opinion, respect that he doesn't put others down.
But his post was flagged as harassment, I personally took it up with Gather, based on the precedent they set with members who have trolled and harassed me.
So its set me in kind of a bad mood to start my day that I'm already tired and cranky to begin with.
End of Rant
I reserve the right to come back later and rant about something else, or even 'shine' about something.
Mooch
Rebecca, I'm glad you got a good dorm choice, even thought they "forgot" you were coming back. :)
