The Gulf Coast Salute Airshow held at Tyndall Airforce Base is normally a "weekend" event. Although the show was cancelled Saturday due to severe thunderstorms, it was certainly worth going to on Sunday. And it did work out because we had a birthday party for my mom on Saturday (Happy Birthday, again, Mom. I love you!).
The airshow this year had something new, as well as, repeat performers from last year. It was a spectacular event and the main feature was the Blue Angels. Here's a little of the show. Unfortunately, you won't be able to experience the sounds...but maybe it will give you a little taste....

I salute those who have served and those who continue to serve in America's Armed Forces.

I'm scrolling back up now to view them again!!
mostly you salute yourself. Renda, always have, always will.
Kevin ~ good to see you here. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.
Doc (Lloyd) ~ you can say what you will with your comments, posts, etc, etc...however if people look closely enough they will see the true you. Fortunately, I saw it before being there too long...unfortunately, those few days were too many. I truly hope one day you can find happiness, of course you will have to start with yourself first. As always, thanks for the page view.
I second your salute to those that have served and are now serving!
Thanks for sharing with us.
Selene ~ Believe it or not, I took over 400 photos yesterday and have just over a 100 that I kept. The others were not as clear as the ones I kept or were not a good shot in general. But, it was a lot of fun and a challenge. When these things are in motion, they are really in motion! ;) Thanks for stopping by.
And in those two photos of the plane going through what looked like smoke...was he breaking the sound barrier?
NO need to go to an air show with access to such great pictures from you...heck I can probably see them better here then in person : - )
I'm sure all you were thinking about: No not the danger, but whether or not you would have a bad hair day.
I have an 'Understanding Women For Dummies' book written by an author in hiding and he's not hiding from Muslims.
Yesterday ( March 30th) was my mom's bday.
PN
Looked like a nice day for an airshow.

Bill ~ Shocked? Surely not. I had the "Spear's" outfit on underneath my airsuit. It was just much too cool for me to venture out with only it on. Another 20 degrees warmer and you would have been able to see it ;) Were you aware my "flying" name is "The Incredible G". hahaha....that G force gets you every time, you know. You're right, the condition of my hair when I removed that awful helmet was foremost on my mind. I will have to pick up a copy of the book and see what they got wrong in it :)
General ~ Thank you so much! I'm glad you came by for two looks. Feel free to come back again too.
Thanks, Linda. You should go if you are able. They really are a lot of fun.
Victoria ~ many thanks to you AND your son. I'm so glad you both enjoyed it. When I saw the guy on the plane, I told Allen we needed to do that...he could fly the plane and I could stand out there :) He wasn't too keen of the idea though. And thanks so much for the feature!
John ~ Thanks so much for coming by. I love the older ones and the heritage flight is one of my favorite parts of the show. The shot this year came out better (at least to me) than the one I got last year. I think the bluer sky makes for a better "backdrop". It is an unbelievable experience in person because you get to hear the info on each plane and pilot, not to mention the sound of the aircraft and the music they play with each performance. All those elements together are awesome. Maybe you will get to attend the one next year :) Thanks again for visiting!
Kelly ~ thank you so much. I enjoy airshows too. Happy belated birthday to your mom too :)
Teresa ~ it did turn out to be a beautiful day. Thanks :)
Hi April ~ glad you could drop by here. Thanks :)
Thank you graciously for posting to Southern by Choice or Southern by the Grace of God!
That B-25 is impeccable as well. A lot of love goes into those planes...
Thanks again, and I featured you as well so I can find it again to look at easily... great job.
Take care.
MC ~ You're welcome & thanks for stopping by.
Kenneth ~ Thank you.
Elsie ~ It was a great fun in person. I'm glad you stopped in for a look. Thank you.
Cathi ~ Thanks. I do too.
John ~ Thanks for the feature and looking at this again. The B-25 was in amazing condition and I think it is a beautiful plane. I got several shots of it that I did not post here. If you're interested, I'll email those to you.
Your photos are amazing.
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Nancy ~ We love them too. They are so exhilarating and stand for so much.
Digital Diva ~ You know, I had thought about that. I am glad you reminded me of the importance of it. I do have my originals on file and hopefully no one will feel the need to steal these (or any). Your warning is certainly duly noted and I will take better precautions with future postings. Thank you so much for stopping by and providing the wonderful advice, as well as the compliment.
Svetlana ~ Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss. I bet your Papa would have loved this one too. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Iām just stopping by to share some

John ~ It is always good to see you. Come by as often as you want :)
Are you a professional photographer? These are superb, fantastic, spectacular photos. Which camera model do you have? I'm going to have to get a new camera before I go to one of these shows, the Kodak Z 1012 I bought last year would just ruin the trip, LOL.
The Blue Angles photos turned out great. I also like the two photos of the gray plane above the Blue Angles (It may be an F-22, not sure) where there is that smoke or whatever it is around it. I suppose that is because it is crossing the sound barrier. Did you hear any sonic booms during the show?
I am familiar with that because during a space shuttle launch this happens. Link to image:

If I come back to the page later does that get you more page views? This is certainly something I'm going to have to look at again.
Sammie ~ I do too. Thank you for all the comments you've left recently. I am going to visit your page in a few minutes :)
Jennifer ~ Thank you!
