I just stopped in to get my PIF group comments out and to see what everyone was up to. When I sign on to Gather I often try to go through my inbox.
Right now it is reading: 2222 received messages, 2216 unread and while I am not a frequent gatherer and I often get behind I have no idea how everyone else handles the email the receive here on gather.
It overwhelms me, I wont lie and I have no idea how everyone else manages and deals with it. Just now It took me 30 minutes to get through 1 weeks worth of messages (March 30-23rd).
Also, I am wondering how everyone feels about the mass mailings that members send out. Do they actually result in getting you to read the article or do you just delete them? Do those messages annoy you or help you find stuff to read?
Just looking to see what everyone else things about the mail on here... Please share your 2 cents.

As for having lots of emails, I start deleting after awhile because I know I can never catch up. I delete them before I go to bed each night. That way I have new ones in the morninga nd won't be so over whelemed.
Thanks for your comment on my "myFaves survey"
If you are receiving mail from 'mass mail' groups (those with square brackets [] in the subject), then you may want to remove yourself from those groups. There are also other steps you can take to control your inbox madness, such as sorting, or using email filtering to organize and access your mail on Gather.
