Thanks. We just finished an 8 week study at church called Freed Up Financial Living by the same people who published the Good Sense Budget Course. Sadly, until people learn to live within the money they make, the US is going to remain in a pickle.
Not much new there for me. And I disagree with keeping the debt when you can pay it off (towards the end). We will pay our house off early and never keep payments in order to invest in the stock market. I would rather be completely debt free and then start investing. That way you can afford to lose what you put in!
Heidi, I agree completely with that. I didn't go through all 25 tips so I don't know what all was there. I just thought that some of what was there might help a few people.
Yeah, I wasn't attacking you Kimberly, but more the source of the information. I mean seriously... most NORMAL people who live in these crazy times already do most of that stuff. I honestly don't think my doctor would prescribe my Zoloft at double the level and then put "cut each pill in half and take a half a pill each day..." as the directions. That one made me laugh as did the "stay in debt" one. Oh well... As a stay-at-home-mom I already coupon and buy generics and walk places that I can. I don't get manicures, pedicures or my hair done at expensive places... I already live with common sense I guess and those rec's were mostly just that.
I think there are better financial suggestions to be had! www.daveramsey.com has some GREAT content about living with financial peace! His book, "The Total Money Makeover" is the best I have ever read on this subject!

I think there are better financial suggestions to be had! www.daveramsey.com has some GREAT content about living with financial peace! His book, "The Total Money Makeover" is the best I have ever read on this subject!
