Looking for something new to try with lunch? Do you like writing reviews for Gather? Together with Oscar Mayer, we’re giving away coupons for Deli Creations from Oscar Mayer to 75 members in exchange for reviews in the Breakroom group (public April 1st). If chosen, you will receive two coupons each to redeem at your local grocery story and try at your office.

Each Deli Creations from Oscar Mayer sandwich makes it easy to enjoy a restaurant-inspired sandwich without the restaurant price. Each sandwich comes complete with everything you need packed fresh, including high-quality deli meats, specialty sauces, natural cheeses and delicious oven-baked bread that comes out hot and melty in less than a microwave minute.

To be considered for a review, please respond in the comment thread below to the following questions:

  • How do you make the most of your lunch break?
  • What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?

Gather will choose the 75 members randomly based on their answer. Comments must be posted by April 2nd to be considered. We ask that you post your review no later than April 30th to the Breakroom group and tagged with "dcreview"

Looking for an online breakroom to share stories and gossip? Join The Breakroom (public April 1st) and share your own stories, tips and advice with fellow workers on Gather. You can stop by over your lunch hour or any time during the day!

Count me in, but seeing as I am unemployed at the moment, MUST I eat it at the office? I think I could get arrested for trespassing, if I do.

Well, since I'm a homemaker, my lunch is my 'me' time and I usually take it at my desk while I'm Gathering on the computer.
I would love to review these as here in my home, we are all big fans of sandwiches especially, when I can use fresh, quality meats and cheeses. I like it better when it comes sliced like these do, as I usually slice my own luncheon meats and cheeses on my electric slicer.

I would love to do a review on these. I am always looking for good office lunchtime foods.

1. Making the most of my lunchtime?

I volunteer with my union and often we meet during lunch since we can't meet at other times.

2. Me time?

What's me time...LOL I am one of those that is guilty of doing work during lunch quite often. To actually get me time, I would have to be sure to leave the building entirely!

How do you make the most of your lunch break?

I try to eat at my desk while corresponding on myspace/facebook/gather. That way, while I eat lunch I can catch up with friends and family and fellow bzzagents!

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?

I get in some "me" time during lunch by eating my favorite things. Also, getting to correspond with friends far away via the internet is always relaxing and exciting!

* How do you make the most of your lunch break? My "lunch bread" is usually a quick break from Gather. I use that time to organize my recipe collection, usually.

* What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch? When it gets nice out, I let the dogs and cats outside so I can get more "me" time.

I make the most of my lunch time by seeing my son at school each day.

My "Me" time is for the rest of my day, when the kids are at school. I catch up on reading, take a nap, and more.

I love Deli Creations. They make wonderful lunches, and I would love to participate in this!

I make the most of my lunches by multi tasking. I eat while I check out Gather, read online newspapers, and check other websites that I'm a member of. This provides me with my "me" time during the day, and allows me to catch up with all of my gather friends!

I would love to do a review on these. My husband, myself and my two kids (10 and 5 yrs) all need to pack a lunch. I am always looking for something good to pack.

I make the most of my lunch break by volunteering in the library at school :) I'm not much for sitting around doing nothing. I take my time eating ( I try to indulge myself with a "dessert"), then I organize the next lesson, then go find somone who needs my help.

I commented on the other post as well. I stay at home so I don't really have a "lunch hour" per se. I usually just eat at my computer while I'm working, but I do manage to take scheduled breaks every hour or so. I like to get some fresh air outdoors while reading my latest book or enjoying a crossword puzzle :)

Seeing how I have all the time in the world, my lunch break comes any time I want to take it. Too bad I can't afford to buy food to eat then and just go without that meal daily. I make the most of my 'lunch break' by spending the time Gathering since I don't eat...checking out posts published by others and helping them earn points. As for fitting in 'me' time during lunch; I already have enough 'me' time on my hands. By Gathering during that period, I get to be occupied by sharing some 'us' time with other Gather members.

I don't work outside the home but with 3 kids during the day I rarely have time for myself. I often forget to eat because I am so busy with everyone else. If I do eat, it must be quick and easy to make, otherwise I can't enjoy it.
How do I make the most of my lunch break? I make foods for the kids that will keep them occupied for a long time. I make foods for myself that take the shortest amount of time to make possible so that I have more time to spend on eating it, since I know that as soon as the kids are done eating I will be off chasing them once again.
How do I get "me" time at lunch? Well, I always make kid-friendly foods so that I don't need to worry about the kids playing with their food. It's okay with me when they pretend their apples and grapes are animals! The happier they are during lunch, the more time (and almost always the only time) I have to myself. I am able to sit down and Gather while I enjoy whatever it is I have made for myself. The longer it takes to prepare my food the less time I have, so quick and easy are important to me!
I have tried these sandwiches before when they were on sale and would love to have them again.

How do you make the most of your lunch break?

It all depends on the day. I'm a stay at home mom, so each day is different. Some days I make the most out of my lunch break by sitting at the table with my kids while they eat lunch. Talking about the day and things they want to do or see.

Other days I spend it at the computer getting in some Gather time!

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?

Gather time is "me" time and a few days of the week, I spend my lunch on the computer, gathering. I've even spent some of my lunch breaks in a wonderful chat her on Gather.

Other days, I have taken a nice relaxing walk or even a shower if I have enough time!

How do you make the most of your lunch break?
I spend that time unwinding from that particular day's sometimes hectic to eat as much of a healthy nutritious "lunch" meal for that day. I try to eat a balance meal, one that will energize me and keep me focused on the things ahead.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?
I turn my office phone on forward. Close my door, and turn on my favorite music on the stereo set I have in the corner of my office. I may either check personal emails, lately I may check Gather, LoL or I may just decide to take some time to prioritize all the things that I need to do for myself or my wife or kids. Sometimes, my "ME" time is shared with others, to the point where I don't mind, as long as, I know I've accomplished the things that I set out to do, that's what's important to me most.

Besides that I absolutely love trying new products and I have previous review writing skills, here is my latest review I've written on Gather:
~Palmolive Pure and Clear Product Review~

Besides, all of what I've written so far, I love a good sandwich from time to time. It's the most easiest meal or snack one could have between meals!

Thanks in advance for the opportunity.

Henry J.

I would also like to participate.

* How do you make the most of your lunch break?
I am an eater. I love to eat and don't always eat healthy. I usually just grab something that I can microwave or eat on the run.

* What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?
I enjoy spending time on Gather and some other websites trying to figure out how to plant a veggie garden or finding something for the grandkids to do this summer.

We buy the Deli Creations fairly often here. My son loves the bacon chicken ranch one!

I am a stay at home mom, and I feel that eating together with your family is very important. My son and I always have lunch together, almost always at the table, although lately we haven't been able to, since the dining room is still full of stuff that goes back down to the basement this week.

Lunch is the meal that's just my son and me. He picks what we have (from a "menu" I give him each day). We talk about whatever he wants to talk about, and plan the rest of our day. No TV, no pets (they get closed in the bedroom with my sleeping husband), no distractions.

I do my ME time later, after he's asleep. But I must say that I really enjoy the "us" time that I spend with my son while we are eating.

This sounds great.

How do you make the most of your lunch break?

I normally grab lunch with my roommate and we discuss our plans for the day. I always try to eat outside if the weather is permitting. It's nice to get a little fresh air and sunshine during my break.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?
I read. It lets me escape whatever is occuring that day and go somewhere far away. I know this sounds like something you hear from your grade school teacher but I've always loved that books take me to somewhere different.

How do you make the most of your lunch break?
Getting out of the office is mandatory. I use my lunch break to take in a change of scenery. I either walk around the block, visit a local café or, if the weather is nice, sit outside with an enjoyable book. And if I have to bring my own lunch instead of buy one somewhere I
make my lunch a healthy one. I also like to eat with friends occassionally
What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch? Taking that short walk to that local cafe and spoiling myself with a decadent lunch is an awesome way to get some me time during lunch. When I bring my own lunch I get some me time when I take a book along to read.

ANd I would love to test & review these lunch items during my me TIme!

Lunch is the one time of day that I insist on no interuptions of any kind. I'll close my office/den door if I have to. I usually use this time to eat and read my book, or just zone out while looking out over the pond.

At least once a week I go have lunch with my husband at work- usually either take out or sandwiches and chips. He mostly works through lunch so eating with me in the car in the parkinglot is a nice break for both of us.

My best "me" time lunch is when I am running errands and the baby is napping in the backseat. I go park someplace quiet and read and eat (either fast food or fruit and iced tea from home). Gotta squeeze the "me" time in when ya can!

Lunches are always difficult for my family and I. I'm terrible at waking up on time in the morning, so way too often, I have to resort to pre-packed dinners (often frozen). However, I feel it is VERY important to have fresh food and avoid eating too much frozen foods. Providing fresh food for my family (and myself) is high on my priority lists. I love that these sandwiches are pre-packed, but FRESH at the same time!

How to I make the most of my lunch break? Well, to me, lunch break is MY time. I walk away from my desk, sit by an open window, and enjoy the outdoors. In summer, I sit outside whenever possible. And if I have the time, I love to take a short walk. I do my best to avoid my cell, agenda, email, etc. Lunch is time for me to RELAX because there aren't enough moments in the day to do that. I need that time to spend on myself, to emotionally take a BREAK from the day.

I am a stay at home mom however my son and i always sit down together to enjoy a little lunch, this would be a nice treat. Having this for a lunch for my husband would be great also, he always sits in the employees break room to grab lunch but mostly i think he goes and sits in his truck to get quiet time. He does have the use of a microwave in the break room so he is able to heat up something if he wants. I think he would certainly enjoy something like this. It would be so nice to add something special for him to his day. He often will skip lunch so this would also be a great incentive for him to take the time to sit and eat. I think i could score some points with this one. lol Would love to review this for you. Oscar Mayer is more than just B O L O GNA. :) Hee hee

These sound good!

Since I am a stay at home mother my office is at home, but with a newborn now this would help me make a quick and easy lunch for myself and daughter. But my husband takes his lunch to work and I usually make it for him, but havn't since the baby, so it would be a quick and easy lunch for him to take to work. He doesn't like most lunch meats, unless they come from the deli so it would be great to get to try deli creations sandwhiches and maybe it will be something he actually likes and we can start buying it. We don't ever buy packaged lunchmeat to make our own sandwiches since he thinks it is all nasty....

* How do you make the most of your lunch break?

I am self-employed, so I don't have a dedicated lunch break. I usually eat a "Brunch" around noon to 1:00, so I can have energy for a workout a little after 2:00. I usually have my brunch while going through my first batch of daily e-mails, including e-mails about gather replies and posts. I typically read articles while eating and then come back and reply to them while digesting. (This is made pretty easy with Mozilla tabs!)

* What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?

I consider responding to e-mails and gathering to be great use of "Me" time, and the act of eating brunch is to have the fuel for my favorite me time, exercising.

How do you make the most of your lunch break?

I really don't get a lunch break since I am home with my son and we stick to a schedule. My lunch time is whatever i can quickly throw together int he few minutes I have while my son is eating his lunch and not asking for help.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?

This is a hard one since I don't have a lot of me time but I can just take a couple minutes too enjoy my food and think about my daily activities that need to be accomplished.

How do you make the most of your lunch break?

Freelancing from home, lunch is my most enjoyable meal of the day. It's time that I get to spend with my sister, usually engaged in conversation about the latest news events.

What are the ways you can get in a little "me" time during lunch?

If I am alone at lunch, I try not to do anything else, just relax and eat. All the rest of the day, I feel like I am multi-tasking. Lunch means just being able to notice the weather, enjoy some quiet. I really love it when it's warm enough to drag my lunch outside for a change.

I am still a homemaker, but my lunch times are usually unscheduled. I am frequently at the gym, running errands, cleaning the house and yard, etc. Now that the snow is easing up, I am planning my motorcycle rides for lunch times. When I do eat, I usually relax and read the newspaper or visit a website or two (like Gather).

This sounds like a good and fun review-good luck to everyone!

How do you make the most of your lunch break?
What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?

I am a SAHM and I watch 3 other kids so I make the most of our lunchtime by having us all sit at the table together and eat our lunches and talk. I use this time to teach the kids as well, since they are all under age 5, there are alot of things to be taught-guess what shape your sandwich is, what color your desert is, how many bites did it take you to eat all your food, stuff like that that they are learning without knowing it!! :)

To get "me" time in at lunch, I usually eat my lunch after the kids eat theirs-some kids go to nap after lunch while the others watch a movie for "settle down time". I admit, I go on the computer during my lunch and usually plan the rest of the day since it is somewhat quite! :)

I don't really get a true lunch break. However, I do take 15 minutes for myself to search the web, check mail, take a walk or read the paper. I usually am eating and working at my desk. I would love to try a new sandwich and share the results with the group.

I am self-employed and work at home with no one to dictate when I eat lunch, so I can eat whenever and however long I want each day! If there is a Gather chat going on during my lunch break, I will participate in that and eat at my desk at the same time. I also have a favorite dish chair in my bedroom in front of the TV, so I will often eat lunch that consists of either a giant salad or a sandwich and watch my favorite soap opera or other favorite TV show that is saved on my Now Playing list on Tivo. My husband is out of the house working during the day, so I have the house all to myself and peace and quiet to do what I want! I love working at home.

How do I make the most out of your lunch break?? Lunchtime is spent with my son the majority of the time. We sit at the table together and use the time to talk with my son about different things. We play games about the various foods he has for lunch like what kind of condiments does he want on his sandwich or how many chips are on his plate. I try to make it a fun time for the both of us and get him to try different kinds of food with various textures, shapes and colors.

What are ways you can get in some "Me" time during lunch?? The "me" times is 1 or 2 days I don't eat lunch with my son. Sometimes I sit at the computer munching on my lunch or just enjoy the quiet for a moment.

Sounds great, lunch, work, and food. Eating is good, and a warm lunch is preferred, but not always possible. We only have 30 minutes. Co-workers always snoop to see what each of us has brought in for the day. We look at the sale papers and debate who has the best shopping deal that week. All while trying to gobble down something tasty in 10 minutes!
The 2nd half of lunch is MY time. Like, who can watch a movie or tv show in 15 minutes? Ha. Check phones, do email, gather? Ha. That's work. I have a lawn chair out by the company patio, and RUSH to get out of the awful air conditioned factory for some quiet time in the sun watching the birds, enjoying the greenery, feeling a petite breeze blowing, cherishing the warm sun, and if its hot enough (95+), trying to figure out how to get to the beach a few hours early that day. If O-M has something to tantalize my taste buds, here I am. But I am also honest in what I may say.

How do you make the most of your lunch break?

Lunch? What's that? Most of my lunches are spent at my desk eating while working.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?

Once a month my friend Erin and I go out to lunch. This is about the only time I make myself get out of the office for an hour.

I was having a birthday party for one of my grandkids and I had bought these to serve rather than having to cook on a hot summer day. Everyone just loved them. The parents of the children said they could not have been happier at how easily they was able to server their kids lunch using them. Thanks to the deli creations we had a wonderful time and without a lot of work.

Many days I don't have time for lunch or have to eat it quickly. I make the most of it be having something on hand. We do have access to a refrigerator, so I can always bring in sandwich makings. I also keep the Soup-at-Hand from Campbell's in my drawer. They're quick to microwave. I get a little me time by closing the door, checking the headlines. Maybe calling my mom at home. Sorry, no gathering at the office!!

* How do you make the most of your lunch break?

I work at home so my lunch break is usually still at my computer.

* What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?
I don't get much me time in my life period so my me time is simply enjoying a nice glass of tea or standing outside for a moment.

To make the most of my lunch break, the first thing I do is empty my head of all the "stuff" from work. I will usually eat something and then go outside for a walk or some "me time. Spring, Summer, and Fall I go to the park a couple of blocks away from work. Sometimes I sit under a tree and read or write a letter. Sometmes I just walk around the bike trail. In winter, I go out to my car and read after I finish eating. The most important part this is if something from work comes to mind, I just remind myself it's "me" time. (Doesn't always work, but I'm getting better at it.

How do you make the most of your lunch break? Eating something enjoyable, good for me, and refuels my energy for the rest of the days workload.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch? Say NO, shutdown the computer, close the office door, and walk out the front door. Whether be 30 or 60 minutes, step away from it all and take a walk outside to renew and refresh. Breaktime is your time!

How do you make the most of your lunch break?

My lunch break is MY time . . . off the clock. I usually dash home to see my husband and our baby. Since my husband works opposite shifts to mine, we rarely see each other, so we value these moments!

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?
I spend some time checking my e-mail and checking up on my Gather account. I take my time with my food when I can and enjoy just being able to SIT for a few minutes!

I would love to try them, but I'm not employed at a location where I have a lunch break. However, I do have to eat on the go alot due to activities that are scheduled. So, how do I make the most of it? I try to get my kids fed & happy so that I can eat my food uninterrupted! Ways to get more "me" time during lunch? Have quick, ready-to-eat healthy foods available so I don't waste time cooking/preparing food

I was looking at those tonight when I was doing my grocery shopping. Those would be great for me cause I can throw them together as soon as I get to work. I don't get a lunch break so I have to eat when the kids eat and those would be perfect to be able to eat with them.

How do you make the most of your lunch break?
I spend my lunch breaks normally trying to reset from the morning, and get ready for the rest of the day. I like to surf the net, and get away from work for a while.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?
I set my phone to do not disturb so no one can bug me. Or if it's too busy at work, I'll head out to my car and eat lunch in my car.

With two school age kids, one on homeschool, I'm always on the run, so it's important for my lunch to better as quick as it is healthy. I've been trying to get healthy and to learn not to just sit in front of the tv and stuff my face without conscience. After I eat, I like to take some time to either take a walk or catch up on some reading and allow my food to digest so that I can decipher if I am truly still hungry, or if I merely want more out of habit.

Yeah, whenever I have a yen for THIAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE, MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, XANTHAN GUM, PROPYLENE GLYCOL ALGINATE, SODIUM DIACETATE, SODIUM NITRITE, CARBOXYMETHYL CELLULOSE POWDER AS AN ANTICAKING AGENT, SODUM STEAROYL LACTYLATE, CARAMEL COLOR, CALCIUM DISODIUM EDTA, and NATAMYCIN, I'll be sure to grab a couple.

See this blog., I checked out a few of the other sandwiches too. Mostly all of them have fat content that is one third of their total calories.

I know you're just doing your job, Stephanie, but reading so many of the posts here of people with all kinds of ailments, including weight problems, this kind of stuff does them a great disservice. I didn't win this one, huh?

How do you make the most of your lunch break?
During the summer, I often make sandwiches and pack them with some fruit and/or cookies and iced tea. My husband and I take them with us on our pontoon boat. We drift, talk and enjoy our lunch in the fresh air.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch?
I like to read a book while eating lunch. Sometimes I browse catalogs or look at a magazine. Lunch is a nice break in the day even for retired people.
When I was working, lunch was my time to catch up on reading. If I didn't want to be interrupted, I'd take my lunch to the park or even eat in my car.

How do you make the most of your lunch break? Well since I am a Stay-at-Home-Mother my child will determine what kind of lunch break I'm going to have. It pretty much needs to be quick so what I eat needs to be quick too. Right now I stick in a Lean Cusine....Deli Creations sound just as easy!

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch? Usually I'll eat and spend time on the computer, or I'll read or watch a favorite show. I'll do as much as I can for me during the lunch break my son allows me to have and a lot of that includes eating!

I will definitely be looking for this group to open and go public! I'd love to review Deli Creations! I work from home, so grabbing something quick is ideal for me. Every second that I am away from my computer could put me behind. Lunchtime is my time to relax and regroup before jumping right back into working on whatever project I have in front of me. Some projects are time sensitive, so time is always of the essence. I like to have lunches that are quick, flavorful and semi healthy.

How do you make the most of your lunch break? Grab every minute of your allotted lunch break time and eat something healthy, not greasy, a mix of protein, veges, and bread.

What are ways you can get in some “Me” time during lunch? eat with friends, read a book, walk for part of your lunch break, do something for yourself because there's only one you which you need to take care of and that job is just not as important as YOU are.

I only have 30 minutes for lunch and can not play on the computer while I eat. I prefer to take a sandwich, or a salad with some deli meat in it, so I can have a quick lunch and not have to wait for a microwave.

For my "me" time I escape by reading a romance book while I enjoy my sandwich.

When I eat lunch, because it's the only meal I eat alone, I try to make it special by always using a pretty plate and choosing foods I especially enjoy. I am using in my office with my computer, so I usually spend part of my lunch time checking email or Gather, and I try to save at least 15 minutes to read a book.

I have the luxury of coming home for lunch because I don't live too far away. My boyfriend also comes home, so we can share our lunch break together. It gives us time to feed our puppy and give him some attention in the middle of the day. We don't have time to cook anything, so we always eat quick things: leftovers, frozen dinners, etc. We both have the same idea of "me" time. We sit on the couch, turn on a recorded show on the TiVo (Usually King of the Hill), eat our lunch, and then play with our puppy. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend a lunch hour.

Well, I eat in between typing of course! I take a couple bites, then check my messages on Gather. Then, eat a few more.. And, so on.

Well, that's easy because lunch time is always me time. I always take my lunch to my computer room and type or check email. Or even read a book or two.

Often times work is so hectic that getting a to take a lunch break is a rarity. When a lunch break is possible it is essential to make the most of if it with good food, a quiet space and everything you need to enjoy the meal.

Another thing that makes the most of my break time and allows for more "me time" is the convenience of the foods I've chosen to bring. Scheduling breaks is difficult and having something quick, easy and fulfilling that is ready to go makes a huge impact on my lunch time enjoyment.

Things like fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, salads and anything else I can just open right up and dig in to is best for me. I tend to stay away from meals that need to be heated up or microwaved before you can eat them.

When food can be prepared at home in advance and simply brought to work, ready to be enjoyed I am happiest because it takes less time out of my break and allows me to relax and regroup more.
