There is an old adage here in Michigan: "If you don't like the weather, just wait fifteen minutes. It will change." Never was this more evident than today.
Yesterday, I took some pictures of the ice on the lake, which was melting very quickly. It's an amazing feat of nature that is interesting to watch.
It's nice to see the clouds reflecting in the water again.

Ducks and geese are glad to see the ice receding. They don't seem to mind the cold water.

This morning, the ice had melted a lot more. Although our temperature was only about 30 degrees, the ice melting progressed all day.

It is amazing to see the ice crack, split and shrink. It looks like a block of ice floating in a big punchbowl. The ducks and geese were swimming together.

Then came the snow....

....which continued all afternoon and evening. It looks more like early winter than early spring.

This time of year is always a tug of war between winter and spring. Spring has an unbroken record of winning, however, so we're sure it will triumph eventually.

It doesn't look like spring yet, but we have faith.

Michigan sounds a bit like where I live. We can get four seasons in one day. You can go out in a coat with an umbrella and return home in sunny weather wearing a t-shirt.
I keep the telephone of my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love and abundance. Then, whenever doubt, anxiety or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal - and soon they'll forget my number.
Where I live it is still winter!
That first shot is glorious, though, Jan!

I love the picture with the clouds reflecting on the water.
Hope you get warm soon!

Thanks for sharing your world view through photos.
It's still way too cold here in Ohio.

My kids had spring break this past week and it began with snow - we had a few inches. by the end of the week it was in the high 60's and Saturday it was 72. It has been sunny three days in a row, but alas tomorrow it's back to typical cloudy and then rain for four days...
I would give a more inciteful comment here, but I'm catching up on 300-somewhat-odd e-mails so please excuse me for the short comment.
I enjoyed it!
