She sat at the vanity and applied a bit of rouge to her cheeks, satisfied she dabbed a tiny bit of light pink to her lips. She didn't have time to fuss with make-up and such and she certainly preferred her natural look and light pink lip color over Bea's Chanel Coco Red lipstick. Beatrice Peabody took great pains when dressing and applying make-up but then again she didn't have much else to do. Auntie Mia thought that Bea took these extra pains with her appearance in a vain attempt to hide her age. Auntie was proud of her age and happy to be Auntie to everyone. Beatrice was definitely the leader of the group but Auntie was the Mother.
Auntie rose from the vanity stool and walked over to her closet where she took out a fresh house dress and a blue apron. She was going to bake today and finish the blouse that Beatrice asked her to make. As she stepped away from the closet she saw the scribble on the wall. "BEE PEE", Chi-Chi had come out to play and worse still she had used Beatrice's Coco Red lipstick to scribble with. Bee Pee was a mocking term that little Chi-Chi had come up with to taunt Beatrice Peabody. The last time Chi-Chi had ruined a lipstick, Bea had decapitated all of Chi-Chi's Barbie dolls. Auntie worried about Chi-Chi's appearance here, she hardly ever appeared at the U-Store. She was safe at Steve's; she even had her toys there. Steve had collected Barbie's for years and even had a Barbie dream house; Chi-Chi loved playing with the dolls. If Chi-Chi was coming out here than things must be very bad, if Chi-Chi was coming here that meant that Bruce was not far behind her. Auntie Mia put her recipe cards and her favorite Frank Sinatra Tape in her pocketbook and set out to begin her day but before she left she did her best to clean Bee Pee from the wall.
***This is for the We WEE Interactive writing group that was begun by Sandy. I came up with this little character development game to help us introduce our characters. The goal is to stand your character in front of a mirror and let the mirror reveal not only a physical description but an inner description as well. Since my character is many characters wrapped in one body, I found this a fun way to introduce them all. I hope you'll join me in Mirror, Mirror. ***

My wife's family's culture believe that sometimes mirrors are gateways for spirits, and as a result cover them with cloths at night. There is a lot of scope for that sort of thing here.
Loved it.
Pat- Thank You! My family also believed that the mirror could be a gateway; I think a lot of inspiration came from growing up with that.
Anne- I know, it's comfusing ;-)
Elaine- Thank You
Amazing and more personalities? I wonder just how many there are, and can't wait to find out. Also, how many if any Steve actually knows are there. Do tell!
Marilyn
You've developed the inner struggle so nicely.
