My 20-month old son ran his first race!

This past Saturday was the Leprechaun Race for kids.  My 20-month old ran the 1/8 mile.  It was so cute!  For just $5, all the "runners" got a t-shirt and a really nice medal.  I jogged along with him, and he had the biggest grin on his face the whole time.  He's been running races around our house all week.

He was definitely the youngest runner.  I heard at one point, "C'mon, don't let that little kid beat you!"  ha ha

The cutest part was there was an actual time clock at the finish line, so now Sam has established a "personal best" and has a time to beat next year :)

Cute! Glad to hear he is energetic. I think too many kids these days don't enjoy the outdoors. I am running in the local Shamrock Shuffle on Sunday, but it's not 1/8 of a mile, it's 5!
