The water went away and the sun hung around

And there was a cool breeze every night

But we got careless and didn't think of you

And we thought everything was just so nice

 

 

The rains came back and now we're all in trouble

(hey-la-day-la the mud is back)

We saw it on the horizon and now it's pouring on the double

(hey-la-day-la the mud is back)

We never thought the sun would be so untrue

But now the mud is gonna bury the likes of me and you

(hey he knows that we've been trying)

(To put up a building here while the sun was drying)

 

 

The rain's been gone for such a long time

Now it's back and there's no more sunshine

I'm starting to feel sorry I was ever born

For this kind of work one needs to be strong

The only up side to all our rain here in Western Washington is that my husband is a geotechnical engineer ... so lots of land-slide hazards to address. At least we'll have a pay check for a little while longer :o)
